venting...............

I just went on to the may site, for those who had their wls in may. I am sooooo heart broken. The more I read the more my heart sank. I know everyone loses weight differently and we cannot judge upon that. Alittle history on me. wls on 5/5/04. post-op visit -up one pound. can we say discouraged! then they told me to come back in a week so the doctor could look at my stomach since it was retaining water. I came back and I was down 5 pounds. The doctor said that when he started doing lap on me and couldn't fini**** he had to go to open. they then had to pump more fluids in me. He put me on lasix and i have seen a difference but not alot. so as of now i am down 4 lbs. my sissy did measure me and I am down 9 inches. which did make me happy. untill i saw all these people losing 20 plus pounds in the first month. I know alot of this is fluid but still I wanna see the lbs drop! I dont have a scale because i can't find one that is for 400lbs. anyone have any idea where i can get one? The lasix do appear to be working but i could be wrong. I just hate waiting and wandering...... JUST HAD TO VENT !!!!!! thanks for listen

Lisa, hang in there...all will get better. Listen, there is a website called www.amplestuff.com and they sell larger scales and all kinds of stuff for the larger folks. Please keep us informed on how you are doing. Brenda in Tx.
