Home, but complications....
Hey guys, I came home on the 23rd but I came home with my Jackson PRatt drain still in place, which I still have. During surgery my esophagus decided it didn't like the ng tube and started spasming. The extra pressure cause a leak. My swallow test was fine after surgery but then before i left the hospital half of everything I put in me started coming out of the drain so I had to keep it.
The last couple days I have been getting less and less in the drain. PErhaps I am almost better and can get the drain out Thursday. We'll see!
For what its worth, I had a drain complication in the hospital. See, I tried to sleep on my side to relieve pressure on my back, but the drain kept coming out in my sleep and I'd wake up with major blood loss. Pretty yucky and it left me very weak, but I recovered as soon as I had a transfusion. That was my only "complication" so far, so I have much gratitude. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!!!!
