Any May 24th Post Ops Here
Hi!
1st off congrats on the weight loss I had surgery the same day, still have my drain in till tomorrow. I will weigh to morrow at the DR's. I'm doing good, kinda BLAH. I can't seem to force myself to drink all the liquids. I am on clear liquids till tomorrow then I start all liquids for 5 weeks. I miss having something to chew!! I can get in and out of a chair and bed pretty good, the worst part is the pain from gas. I still have really loose bowels. I know too much info...just trying to compare. I get thse loud hunger pains in my tummy, but have no appetite. I go back to work tomorrow, wish me luck!

Wow, going back to work after 1 week, I admire that!! I also had surgery on the 24th. I am doing great!! I'm pretty much doing what I want, but still have to sit and rest. I'm lucky that I got to come home from the hospital on soft/pureed foods, so I'm able to actually eat. Don't know if I could make it on the liquids. (of course I would if I had to!) Go tomorrow to get my incision stitches out! I also have started the tummy rumbling. Kinda scared me at first, but now know it's just part of it. Going now to do some walking!!

Hi there, yup I was May 24th, too, in New Haven, CT. I don't have much soreness at all, although I spent 4 days in the hospital. The only complication I had was blood loss due to sleeping on my drain (tried to sleep on my side to relieve pressure on my back, but I'd wake up covered in blood - yuck). I don't know how much weight I may have lost since my home scale doesn't go this high (started 357) and my doc appt isn't until next Tuesday. I am on pure liquids until that doc appt, so I am counting the days. Gas isn't as issue, fortunately, but I do make sudden runs to the bathroom for liquid diarhea (sorry if too graphic, but I wonder if others are at this point, too). I have pretty good energy and only tap one nap a day now. I hope to go back to work June 9. Hope this helps
