Question ???

I had my surgery on 5/20 and I have been having my menstrual cycle ever since, in fact it started on 5/16. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this occur? I wonder if it is just hormones being released? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Lisa

Lisa, I started my cycle on 4/20 and was still on it at the time of my surgery on 5/11. It then continued for another week and a half. I would not worry about it right now, but, if you are concerned, call your pcp and ask. Hope things get better soon. tracey

Hi, hope it helps to know that I had my period about 2 weeks before my surgery, then got it again 5 days post-op. Fortunately, it only lasted 4 days and now its gone again. It will be interesting to see how long before it shows up again....I am not too worried, but please do tell your doctor just to reassure yourself! Best wishes!!
