POST OP

I am 4 days out of my surgery. May 26th...am doing so well. Virtually, no pain. Getting up and down, and drinking water just fine. Food is ok...just not that hungry. My daughter had LaRosa's pizza today, while my dinner was applesauce...I was not even tempted!! Smelled good, but, really didn't want any. (If you know anything about Cincinnati, La Rosa's is the best!!) Surgery went fantastic. But, it took 5 hours. Dr. said that when he lifted out the stomach he poked a hole in it with his finger, and had to do it differently. So it was not stapled. He took part of the stomach out, attached the intestine in a different place, and the stomach is a little bigger than normal with this type of surgery. He said everything would be the same, possibly lose the weight a little slower. Hmmmm. And, he called this a "technical" difficulty. I plan on losing the weight just as fast...cause I am following the diet just like he says. Has anyone heard of this before?? Can't wait till my first visit to see how much I have lost!! My stomach is still swollen. Does anyone know when that goes down??

Jeannie, I am 9 days post-op and it took me about 1 week before I felt like the swelling had finally gone away in my tummy. I only lost 8 pounds at my first weigh-in but feel I have lost a great deal more this week ....Each body is different...but I am with you girl, the faster the better Take care and God Bless Lisa
