Post OP
Hi all, thanks for all your well wishes:angel". I got home around 5PM tonite from the hospital. Dad was soooooooo good to me, the whole time I was in the hospital he was right there, he came every day and the nurses ended up loving him, he brought them goodies every single day. I have never seen so many people flock to a boz of goodies as nurses and doctors lol for them. It took four days for me to be able to drink 4oz of liquid. Oh its good to be home, but I am somewhat nervous now. I slept very well when I first got home, and now am Wide awake.
The surgery went well with no complications.
I woke up in recovery in a lot of pain, but was soon hooked up to morphine, which made me a bit groggy.
What amazed me was that I needed the morphine for two days, and I know I have a pretty high tolerance to pain. Meanwhile another woman was out of the hospital and walking on the second day or so. Its amazing how each person is different. Having the drain removed was horrible but it had to be done, and I just wanted to come home. I will post soon about how it feels to be on the losing side, it has yet to 'sink in' for now.
Good Luck to all you preops who are going in this month (I know its almost over) and Best of wishes for speedy recoveries to everyone who is losing already
Thanks for all the well wishes and support ,
Sara
