10 Days out and Doing Great
Hello All,
I just wanted to report that I have bee very fortunate since my surgery. I had an RNY in Danbury Ct on May 17,2004. I really was expecting to be in more pain then I was, I guess a lapo really makes a big different. I was in the hospital for 3 days and was very happy to get home. I am on liquid and protein shakes and have torrerated everything pretty well. I was pretty tried at first but I started taking Isotonix ( powder you mix with a small amount of water) vitamins and this has made a huge difference. I take a Multi-vitamin, b-12 and Calcium in this form. The absorption rate but the boby is far greater than crushed tablets would be and I really feel the difference. I am down about 20 and looking forward to getting back to work. I wish all of you well and I am very grateful that I have been so blessed. If anyone is interested in communicating privately please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] I love to hear from people who are going through the same process. Best of luck to everyone.

I'm so glad you've had a good experience! I too feel very fortunate at only 3 days out. I'm no longer taking pain medicine and my dr lets you go home on soft diet so I've been able to eat eggs, peanut butter and crackers etc. Still trying to get in all the liquids, all in due time! We are very blessed!
