5 days post surgery
Well, I made it through the surgery fine. I didn't have any complications. I was in the hospital for 3 days. I am home now. I am glad to be home. This was the first surgery I have ever had in my life! Wow! It was an experience for me. Not as far as complications, but just anxiety and nerves. My Husband, Daughter, Mother, Dad, and Brother were all there the day of my surgery. My Husband stayed with me through the duration of my stay. He has been an awesome suporrt. I wasn't expecting to have to depend on him so much, but he has been so faithful that words can't express my gratitude. My Daughter, which is 2 yrs. old, was scared of me in the hospital, but since I've been home has warmed right back up to me. She is a Mommie's Girl. My Brother has also been a big support. He has called me evey day to check on me. My Mom & Dad, what can I say? They have been wonderful too. They took care of our Daughter while I was in the hospital. My Mom has been at my house with a big helping hand. My friends from work sent me flowers to the hospital and have called almost every day. I have such a support. I am very fortunate.
As far as my condition, I guess I am doing good. I am eating my 2 ounces 3-5 times a day and trying to consume as much water as I can. I am going to the bathroom on my own. I can get up and down on my own. I still am very sore and have a ways to go to recover from surgery itself. I have not been hungery at all. I just eat to try and keep strength. I have been weak for two days now. I have an appointment with Dr. Nye (Pensacola, FL, Baptist Medical Center) day after tommorw. I came home with a jp drian. I hope to get it out and change my diet when I see him. I will write more after then.
