6 Days post op...

Hey everyone...im six days post op i feel ok...i just want this drain taken out NOWWWW.... anyway other then gas pains i dont feel nothing. only when i get up in the morning from bed....i kinda lose my breath and have to sit there and breath for like a minute or two. i am totally scared on how its going to feel to take that drain outttt....anyway if any of u need my support or advice please feel freee....to give me a holla

Don't sweat the drain. It does not hurt coming out. I can't tell you exactly how it feels because its hard to explain. Imagine my doctor uses two drains. One on each side. They pulled them at the same time though. It is a weird feeling but no pain.

I'm also 6 days post op and home a few days. I'm lucky---no drain. Its hard to realize that problems can be solved without eating. I don't even want to eat---getting a few mouthfuls of yogurt in is a victory. I can't believe that I got excited over a tiny bowel movement this am. I think that the answer is just to respect your body's healing process and the wisdom of your docs. Good luck

Hi Arleen! I'm also six days post op; I had my drain taken out yesterday...it's not really pain just a strange sensation that starts in the mid abdomen and moves up to the left neck area....very odd ..just stay relaxed and breathe and you will be fine.
