2.5 weeks post op!
Sorry I haven't written. I was kind of depressed. First off I want to thank 'Jim' for contacting me in the hospital. Someone I never even knew took time out to give me encouragement in the hospital. THANKS JIM!!
And then I got sick. I couldn't tolerate any of the stuff I was supposed to eat: Yogurt, sugar-free pops, etc. I couldn't tolerate that stuff cuz it tasted too sweet!!! go figger.
Well, now for the results....I had my 2 week post op checkup. Not only am I doing well, but I have lost 31 pounds and can start adding new foods to my diet.
I am feeling good. My favorites are tuna and cheese with boiled egg and bits of tomato. I love apple juice.
Thanks to all who prayed for me and know that I am continuing to care for you all.

Hopefully I will be all well by monday. Take care and God bless you.-Melissa
I will be 2 weeks post op on Tues. I def. agree with you about the first food they put you on. I can only have clear liquids like broth, juice, kool aid and sugar free popsicles and jello. No orange, lime, or lemon. It is all so sweet I agree. I am down to popsicles and koolaid, and that is about all. I didn't get sick, but just had no desire to eat if I had to eat that junk. Can't wait to move to the next step, soft food which should be Tues., yeah! Will weigh in at Drs. appt. Tues. I hope I have a good loss.
