Heparin shots....

Heparin is easy! They did my shots in my arms. I have a blood disorder to I am giving myself the shots in my lower belly away from the incisions. Dont be suprised it you bruise a bit, I have some huge bruises from the heparin. The needles are tiny and they do burn a bit but it is really nothing to think about. The nurse will tell you when they do them and you can just look away when you feel it it will be coming out. Hang in there it is not to bad- you are almost there! -gerriann post-op 4 days 12 pounds gone forever.

I don't want to sound like an idiot ... but what are Heparin shots and why do you get them??????? YIKES!! Loree Surgery scheduled for 5/27

Nah, no question is a bad question! Heparin shots prevent blood clotting and pulmonary embolism.... so they're important!
