I came home Sunday afternoon. My surgery took 5 hours. WOW. They said I was a challenge to keep it Laprascopic. I had a Hiatal Hernia which they pulled down but did not have to stitch the diaphram after fixing the tummy. They checked all the abdomen and it looked great. I awakened to NO PAIN AT ALL!!! Later they wanted me to take a hit from the pump, Morphine, but I did not have a need for it. Did have soreness but thats all. Was able to get up the next morning, took walks began fluids. All fluids went down without any problems. Since I felt so good, I think I over did by getting up too often and being up walking around doing things on Monday. So today is a lazy day and I will take it eaiser. I had more soreness today. Gas has been an issue but as of last night that is even ok now. I go to Clinic on Thursday. I am so excited to see what comes next. What a WONDERFUL TEAM my physcian has. The Hospital was the best I've ever experienced. Very knowledgeable and so very kind. Let me know how any and all of you are doing.

Hi Ann, I'm so glad to hear your surgery went well. I'll be going in on the 26th of May and your message was very comforting to me as I am also having Laprascopic. May your recovery continue to go smoothly. Sandra Whalen

Sandra- Having it Laprascopic is the best way, but if you have had other adominal surgeries, it makes it harder because of the formation of scar tissue. I had gallbladder surgery a few years ago, but I still had this one lap. So it all depends I guess. Hettie

Thanks Hettie, That's good to know. I also had gallbladder sugery. It was about 22yrs. ago. My doctor said he would clean up any scar tissue that was there. Did they do that for you? Sandy
