Hey girl I was looking for someone who had surgery when I did. Tell me what you are able to eat. I am curious as all our diets are different. My doc had me on liquid the first 3 days then full liguid thur to sun and today Monday I am to start pureeds. So I just ate 3 tbls of eggs and I am full. Well I guess that is the feeling I feel. I mean my stomach doesn't hurt at all not one bit. And it's not doing anything to tell me I am full other than my mind saying I am. I hear so many people say they get full and there stomachs hurt. But mine doesn't hurt. I am just full. Can you share your experience with me. I know our docs are all different but pureed so soon is funny to me. I was suppose to eat 4 tbls scrambled eggs, 2 tbls cream of wheat 1-2 tbls of pureed fruit. Uhm well I am not getting that all in of course. Only got the eggs. Does that sound like alot to you. I know this is a long post sorry NAT

Hi Nat, I've been having 2 oz of fluid 3 times an hour. SF Jello, SF Popsicles, crystal lite, water, clear broth (may I add I found the broth drained off wonton soup is the best.) Today I got add cream of wheat thined out, SF Pudding, creamed soups (drained mixed with skimed milk). Grape juice, V-8 juice for 1 week, then I get more. Let me know how your doing. tina

Glad you made it home, I did too, yesterday. I am allowed to eat purees. and ate some in the hospital, but so far. I have stuck to the protein drinks and lots of water at home. I feel pretty good, except i'm still running a fever, but I was so glad to leave the hospital and get back to my own bed. This crushing up pill and "drinking" them is a pain, I can't wait to be able to take a pill! Good luck to all the other new post-ops. My friend Linda had surgery the same day as me, and she came home with me, so at least we can compare.
