Hi everyone. First I wanted to thank everyone of you who emailed me or thought about me on my surgery day. You are ALL awesome. My surgery went very well. Coming out of the anesthesia was a much longer process than I had anticipated, not sure if this is normal or not. My surgery was delayed an hour but I was still super calm and relaxed like always so that was not a problem. This was a whole new experience for me not having had surgery ever before. At 2pm all I remember is being strapped onto the operating table and being covered with warm blankets(IT WAS FREEZING) and them saying were going to give you some oxygen. The next thing I knew i was being wheeled into a room which I thought was the recovery room but was actually my room. I ha slept all through recovery. Actually I slept until 9:30 that night when my sister got into town. At that point they were getting me up to walk for the first time. For those of you who have never had surgery, beware of the nausea. I didnt think I was going to make it back to my room without throwing up. By the time I walked again at 1:30 that has passed, thank God. The tough part for me was being confined to my back because I have a lot of problems with my back. That was the only pain I was in though. Your givena morphine pump which my roommate and I both didn't feel was very helpful. Thewhole process post surgery is a lot of discomfort due to bloating/gas from the abdomin being filled with air during surgery(HORRIBLE) When I got home the next day after a 2 hr car ride, I looked like I was pregnant with quadruplets. That takes a couple of days to start to go away but even 5 days post op is an issue but not any where near as bad. the stay at the hospital was great. All the nurses and aides I had were super sweet and caring. At this hospital the whole unit was for bariatric surgery and one of the girls said she worked on this unit because we were all choosing to be there and happy about it. Ok, well enough about that, just wanted to fill every one in. Take care and God Bless, Robin

Robin hi, sounds like your doing well, keep up the good work. What about your diet, what do they have you on right now. How does your exercise program look like. I haven't had my appointment with the surgeon yet and don't know what to expect. I hope your road to recovery continues to progress as well as it has so far. Good luck with the weight loss. Doris
