I'm Post-Op!

Wow! It is hard to believe.,. I came home today!! Actually, I am staying with my mother for about 10 days until next week. I started eating soft meals today (bariatric level II). Yes, that means that I went for 5 days on ice chips. Breakfast today was 12 bites as was lunch and dinner. Pain is under control and I have 2 tubes still in.... J-tube and Jackson Pratt tube. (but, I have gained 5 pounds... of fluid) Will post more later when I have more energy. Very glad I had this done and am on this side of things. Hang in there everyone, it will be worth it! Deb

Way to go Deb. Glad to hear you are safely on the postop side of things. It sounds like you might be having a rough time. I hope things look up for you as you begin eating a little bit of food. I'm sure that will boost your energy and you'll be losing in no time. Keep us posted. Christie
