ANY OTHER MAY 19th PATIENTS?
Hey everyone!
I see that many of us are scheduled on May 19th! Gosh, only 11 days and counting!!!!!! YEAHHHH!
Have any of you found out what we will be eating after surgery? I wont get my post op packet till the 11th, but I wanted to get to the store this weekend.
If you have any ideas, let me know....

Thanks A Million!!! See you on the "other" side!
Leslie
Debi--I think I am most nervous about pre-op. I have had problems with the pre-anesthesia and the pre-op antibiotics that you get, that I was given during another surgery. As far as post-op....no, not too nervous I guess. My father had WLS about 13 yrs ago, and my mother is now 13 mths post-op from WLS. So, I pretty much know what I am getting myself in to! LOL
How are you doing? What state are you in? I am in TN. I am driving 5hrs one way to have my surgery. UGG! My butt is really gonna be sore! LMAO

Hello Leslie
I am also scheduled for the 19th. I am excited and nervous.
I have stocked up on Protein shake mix, and Fruit 2 O water. I have a few cartons of Chicken Broth. S/F Jello and popsicles.
The rest will be bought later. That should be enough to get through the clear liquid phase.
Hope that helps;
Claudia
Hey Leslie,
I'm scheduled for the 19th also.
My Dr. will have me on clear liquids (any sugar-free, non-carbonated liquids that you can see through) so I'm planning on chicken broth, apple juice (no sugar added) and sf jello.
Also, my best friend who is 3 years post-op says that a berry drink from Herbalife that is high protein really helped her out. It's more like unsweetend Kool-Aid & you can sweeten it with Splenda. She said she couldn't stomach the regulary protein shakes. I plan to have that on hand. You can go to herbalife.com to find a distributor close to you.
After that, I have stocked cream soups, peanut butter, and some baby foods - the Gerber Chicken Noodle is actually OK - just needs a tad of salt added to it. Of course, I may feel totally different after surgery so I only bought 1 jar. Luckily, I have my mom taking care of me post-op & she can restock me on the stuff I like. Also, Pedialyte now has frozen pops if you have trouble with dehydration.
Well, I think that's all the tips I received. Best wishes and I will keep you in my prayers.
Karen
Hey all of you May 19th surgery people. I also am having my surgery then. I too have stocked up on broths, apple juice, sf popsicles and jello. What exciting things we get to eat. Monday I go to the Doctor for my pre-op appointment and I expect to be told about the cleanse and all that we have to do for the pre-op. but hey I'm willing to do anything at this point just to get on the losing side of this process.
Good luck to all of you. I have a few more names to add to my prayers.
Valerie
I am on the 19th as well. I am so excited. As it gets nearer...I get more excited. I have all my preop testing done and everything looks good.
I saved all my sspring cleaning for the next week..to try to keep me busy and to try to keep myself from going with all the waiting.
Good luck all and lets pray for each other.
On the WLS Journey together,
Tammy
