Counting it Down
Hey Everybody!!!
Well, I have finished my final exams and things are getting down to the wire. My re-birth is coming on like a freight train. I am soooo excited and yet I can tell that I am getting anxious for it just to be over. I think that my family is ready to put my ass out of the house. My temper has gotten really short over the last few days.
However, I am so lucky because I have a wonderfully grounded angel, Keisha, who calls me and, whether she knows it or not, helps to keep my feet on the ground. Thank you so much!! My family is very supportive, but it is so important to have someone there *****ally understands what it is to be overweight as well as what this journey may have ahead for me. I am eternally greatful for that as I also am for having this forum of great people who are willing to listen (when I have the time to post ).
I am leaving tomorrow to go visit my mother and grandmother for Mother's Day so I will not likely be posting unless my mom has her internet up. I have fam coming up from Grand Rapids so that we can party together and spend time. It is weird because I don't want them to feel like I think that anything will happen during surgery, but I am one that thinks that it's important to take advantage of the time you have in case something happens. Lets be real. This is major surgery and it's in God's hands.
I am so happy that I have this opportunity to change my life and I am glad that I have you all to share it with. Peace.
Tracey
Hi Tracey!
Just wanted to say hey! I will be having surgery Tuesday as well. Are you going to St. Vincents @ Carmel? That's where I'll be. I'm sure I will see you in the halls! I do know of a couple of other great gals having surgery that day. Look forward to seeing you on the other side!
Best wishes for a quick recovery!
