Take the least amount possible. Bring your own slippers though. At least that is what I am planning. My friends said to bring a sun dress or something very loose to wear home. Good Luck! -Gerriann

Hey there. My surgery is on May 4th. From reading some of the other posts I have decided to bring lip "stuff" and a fan. Lots of people mentioned both of those as being essential. Good luck!! -Mike-

Magazines, (or book if you think you can concentrate), tongs and wipes if needed. Loose fitting clothes to come home in.

hi there i just had pre-op on tuesday so everything is still fresh in my mind. they said bring your own tooth brush and toothpaste so you can keep that yukky taste out of your mouth with something your are used to. they also said bring mouthwash as it will refresh your mouth in between brushing since you will go awhile without eating and drinking. slippers, the kind with no backing for easy put ons. loose comforatable clothes. hope this helps . god bless lisa

I was planning to take toiletries, but my mom, who works part-time for a hospital, told me, "Girl, they are CHARGING you already for the toiletries they'll give you - you better use theirs!" (Besides, she's going to be with me for the surgery, so anything I forget she'll bring to the hospital for me.) Will take the new OH magazine (if it's out by then), maybe a book, and the loose clothing. I was thinking about this long nightshirt I have from Lane Bryant Catalog to wear home. Anyone think that's a tacky move? I'm guessing by then I won't care what anyone thinks, so long as I'm comfortable!

I was told to bring a robe.. they will provide slippers. I was also told to bring Chapstick and a pillow to hold on the way home (i have a 4 hour drive home). I was also told the second day I will be able to take a shower... so I am going to bring some undies and then the most comfortable clothes I can to wear home. Good Luck!!!
