05/21/04 surgery date

Hi all - I just received my date. I am so nervous and so excited!!! I keep thinking of everything I need to get done before surgery and then I think it's so far away!! A lot of conflicting emotions right now. How about you guys?!? Jami Wands

Hi Jami, Congratulations on your date!!! I'll be about 4 days after you. I'm going through similar emotions. I think it's very normal. Wi**** would just hurry up and get here. Earlier tonight my hubby said, "I wish I had a dollar for every before and after photo you've looked at...No, I don't...I'd drown in money." Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress. Christie

Yeah!! Someone with the same date!!!. I just wish I could go to sleep and wake up on the 20th. I am so excited for my future, but also scared for my husband and 4 kids if.... We'll have to count down together, 23 days and counting. My surgery is at noon, how about you?

I will be the first for the day. I have to be at the hospital at 5:45am. I am so at peace with my decision that although emotions run high, I'm done with the ifs. I will not allow myself to entertain the idea, I obsessed over it enough while making my decision. I know there are risks, but I was lead to this procedure to save and better my life not to lose it or have a lesser quality. Postive thinking all the way!!!!!!
