Anxiety!!!
Ever since I got my date of May 10th, I have not been able to sleep with out the help of Tylonal PM. I'm always tired and I can't stop thinking about my surgery. I am very excited to have this day come just two weeks now but I can't stop thinking about. That's all I ever think about now. Any ideas? Does anyone else have this problem?

Hey Kim...I totally understand what you are going through, my surgery date was originally scheduled for May 11th but changed to May 3rd, I have been so tired and my mind racing a 100 miles a minute not being able to sleep..i to have been using tylenol pm. I just wanted to reassure you that you are not alone. Good luck to you and your weight loss journey!
Hey Kim,
My surgery date is scheduled for May 11,2004. I am very excited and scared at the same time. But my biggest fear is that I am still going to hungry... thats what keeps ME up nights.. lol... (not the bowl of ice cream I had before bed)..heheee here is some fairy dust sprinkled on you to help you sleep at night..anyway..good luck with your surgery and God Bless you!

Oh, you aren't kidd'n!!! I have this surgery on my mind all day. It must be taking a toll on me. I have had two people at work ask me what is going on with my performance. Not that my performance is bad, but things that I used to really care about, just don't matter any more. I didn't realize that people were noticing that something is different about me. I am sleeping a lot. I think the thoughts running through my head are wearing me out by the end of the day. Take care. This is a transition part of our lives. This is probably the scariest and most exciting thing we've ever done.
Tylenol PM has become my best friend the past week. My surgery is on May 4th and I go for my pre-op tomorrow. I am glad to hear that I am not alone... My family keeps telling me that I shouldn't have any problems sleeping... I am approved and everything is falling into place... However, at night my mind still seem to race.

Well, I don't know if it's because I am a guy and therefore clueless or what. But I have been sleeping like a baby. No problems at all. As soon as I put my CPAP machine on - I am out! Now, this might change since I can't take a lot of my meds now that I am a week out - but I haven't had the least bit of anxiety at all.
Kim,
We almost ALL have this problem. Mine is extra-bad b/c I'm going without caffeine and nicotine, so I'm even more tired than EVER!
Yes, Tylenol PM is great stuff....but so is generic Benadryl. That's all Tylenol PM is....some benadryl and tylenol. Go get the generic stuff that's cheaper! Also, if you have sleep issues AFTER surgery, you can still use benadryl, as it comes in a childrens quick-disolve formula. Don't take the tylenol (unless, of course, you NEED it) as too much of it is not good.
Anxiety.....that's my middle name right now....
