anyone scheduled for may 7th

My surgery date is May 7th. I wanted to see how many others were scheduled for the same day.. We can chat and encourage each other. Melissa

Hi Melissa, I am also scheduled for May 7 and would enjoy chatting with you. I need all the encouragement I can get at this point. I am counting the days, trying to keep as sane as possible. Are you on a pre-surgery diet? My surgeon puts his patients on a pre-surgery diet, which is causing more me more anxiety. I almost want to say if I could stay on a diet, I wouldn't be having this surgery! Anyway, I am trying, but the added stress of trying not to cheat on this diet and anxiety worry about the surgery has made me nuts! Anyway, I am thrilled for both of us! In just a few days, we will be entering a new phase of our lives. How long did they say you would be in the hospital? I was told I would probably be in through Mother's Day. Mother's Day will become my new "reborn day" and hopefully every future Mother's Day will be brighter.

Hello from Tampa Bay Area, It has been a long battle and Yes I have a date. May 7. I am long over due for this and am ready mentally. Note I said Mentally. Not ready as far as buying all the thing's I need. LOL...... What a state to be in. I have sit back and said Ok as time gets closer it will be more believable for me. You know I am not there yet. I can see as I am being wheeled down the hall to O.R. it will hit me. "I have finally done it".
