Starting to get a little nervous

My surgery is scheduled for May 7th. Every time i tell someone the date I get butterfies in my tummy..... Weird mix of emotions from Very excited, to scared to being totally happy about my future. Melissa

Hey Melissa, My surgery is May 4th exactly 2 weeks from today. I know what you mean about butterflies. I have been fine but for some reason today I was having lunch with a friend and it was mentioned that my surgery was 2 weeks away and I got the same butterfly feeling. I'm ready for it to be over but on the other hand I can't believe this is going to finally happen and it's happening to me. Karen

Hi Melissa, I am scheduled for surgery on May 11!!! I started this journey in December 2003 and thought I'd never get to this point. Now that I'm almost there I am nervous too. I can totally relate to the mixture of emotions. I try to think past the surgery to the results. That helps sometimes but for the most part, my every waking hour is spent focusing on the "day!" Keep the faith and trust in Almighty G-D! Utlimately, that's whose Hands we are all in, regardless of our cir****tances! Stay strong and keep the faith...and I'll try to follow my own advice! Mary
