Surgery date sched. Happy! and scared!

I am scheduled for an open RNY on 5/24/04. I am very pleased that my insurance didn't take too long. Now that I am on the books, It is really happening! I think that i might be a bit nervous. Was hoping to have it sooner, so I would be feeling better before my kids come visit for the summer. Can anyone tell me how long before they were well enough to take care of kids? Also, I need an angel if anyone is interested.
