New to this board!
hello, my name is tanya my surgery date is may 5th. the dr. told me two weeks prior to surgery you have to drink your protein drink for breakfast and one for lunch then for dinner you can eat but you have to measure your portions. this is going to be hard for me but i'm going to give it a try. I am so nervous about my surgery all i do is stay on line looking at before and after pictures of everyone and that is encouragement for me. tonight i am going to make a list of things i'm going to look forward to doing after surgery that i couldn't do before surgery. good luck on your surgery and keep in touch
Hi, I am also new to this board. My surgery date is May 11, my pre-op is
April 21. I figure May is perfect, because by the time I feel good, my pool will be open. I can handle exercising in the pool! Get a tan, lose weight and have fun, what more could you ask for. Well, I'll check in later.
My prayers and best wishes will be with all of you.
Hi my name is Michele. My date is 11 or 12 may. I am looking soooo forward to this. Not only for the obvious reasons but also because dh comes home on midtour (been in Korea 6 months by then) in July for a month adn I have my "skinny" outfit picked otu and everything. I am going to get my hair dyed and face made up and meet him at the airport. Then I get to do it again in January when he comes home for good (we are military in case you didn't know) and by then I hope to have lost all 100lbs. He won't recognize me I hope!

My Liquid Protein Drink 4 to 5 times a day (Carnation Instant Breakfast(no sugar added) with Egg Protein), Chicken or Beef Broth, Sugar Free Popsicles, Sugar Free Jello. In all it has to total up to 64 oz's. or more a day.

Tara, my date is May 3. I am supposed to be on a high protein, low carb, low fat diet for at least 3 weeks prior to surgery. This has been tough, I can only imagine being on a liquid diet for 2 weeks prior!! I do kow this done to shrink the liver so it is easier to manipulate during surgery. If your having the lap RNY.
