May 13th!
May 13th can't get here soon enough! My surgeon said from the beginning of the process to surgery, it would take 3 months. It will be one day shy of 3 months. I guess he knows what he's talking about. At times, I thought this day would never come. And I had it easy! I have Empire BCBS (yes, it's a NY co and I live in IA) and my approval sailed right thru. This is the ins. co. that I argued with for 6 weeks to get them to approve Vioxx and Zetia. Go figure. So now the whirlwind round of appointments and pre-op testing. Plus a 5 day trip to Cleveland in there. Anyone from Cleveland? What's there to do downtown besides the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame?

Hi Lyn,
You are so lucky you only had to wait 3 mons. It will be a year in May since I started my journey and my Surgery is May 12th. Your's moved real fast. Good Luck on your Surgery.

I'm on May 13th, too! I have been going through the same flurry of tests, I had a sleep test this past week, and I think I'll be diagnosed with sleep apnea, so I have to see what that does to my date. I have an endoscopy next week that may have some results to consider. Can't help you with Cleveland, but don't miss the hall of fame. I remember the washington Post travel section did an article a few years ago on what there was to do there, you might do a seach on the net.
I'm going on a cruise the week before surgery to take my mind off of things! God speed and good luck!
