Revision (Please respond)

Has anyone from 2004 or at least 3 yrs out had any revisions to your original procedure? If so which one and has it worked? Original weight before RNY was 420 got down to 270 and now back up to 300 (probably more but I refuse to look at a scale)

Sharekia, hi - weight regain at the 5-year post-op and beyond is unfortunately extremely common. For those of us prone to emotional eating or any food addictions (e.g., chocolate, sweets), it becomes nearly impossible to reverse once the onslaught of regain begins. There is a Revision Board on this site, have you checked into that? Best of luck - I wish I had the answers... Please let me know how you are doing. Maureen

I haven't had revision just yet but I am looking into. I was 345 prior to surgery got down to 220 got pregnant in 2006 but didn't gain a pound started gaining after I got the shot and made it back to 268--in the last 6months I have made it back up to 291 and can't stop gaining. I had surgery on last week with my doctor due to some adominal burning and pain that I had been having and after the doctor went in he stated that the opening to my stomach has enlarged which is causing me to be able to take in a lot more so he says that we can look at some revision options.
