I was doing good until I got preggers last year. I only gained 8 pounds with him and now 6 months later I have gained another 8. I am tired all the time. I do have low iron and am taking two pills aday but I just want to sleep all day long. I know I shouldn't eat when I am not hungery but for some reason I can't stop myself. I can't afford to join a gym and it hasn't been that nice here to walk. Oh it has been warm enough it just rains about every other day it seems. When we do go for a walk it is just around the block. I don't have a car to go to the mall or a park. I am a stay at home mom. If it wasn't for my 13 year old, I wonder what I would do because she help me so much with the baby boy. Does anyone know how I can check my pouch and get back on track and lose more weight. I am at 157 and in a size 14/16. I hate it!! Please help if you can. Thanks.

Toni you are the only one who can change the path you're on. You need to decide that you don't want to be a size 14/16 anymore and go back to the rules of WLS. Protein first, 60+ ounces of water every day, little snacking if any, etc... A big one for me is to not drink my calories. I was steady at 170 for 3 years and then I started drinking a lot of soda which bounced my weight up 17 pounds in 3 months!! Someone told me not too long ago that being tired is a symptom of dehydration. Drink more water and you should get more energy. With that added energy you could play with your new baby or do a workout DVD while the baby naps. I know its hard but every day is a new chance to succeed and I know you can do it!!! You just have to make up your mind and stick to it! If you slip up, its important not to beat yourself up over it. Just get back on track and keep going. Best, Jessica

I too got pregnant post up and went from 135 size 10 to 175, but I put my mind to it that I was going to hit the gym HARD and do everything I could to lose it otherwise the surgery would have been just a waste if I didn't learn any new eating or workout habits and within 6 weeks i lost it all and actually ended up thinner than before i got pregnant at a size 5/6 and WAY toner (i took it a bit too far actually lol) So like she said, put ur mind to it that you will NOT settle for the 14/16. God Bless and my prayers are with you for strong will! What helped me was i pretneded i had gotten the surgery all over again and followed the same diet where Id work my way up the food scale and concentrated on lean proteins no sugars, very little starch carbs and TONS of water n veggies. and Im expecting again and Im ready for baby to be born soon so i can hit that same diet AGAIN! lol
