Hi Lori! I think it is quite natural to go through periods of feeling very tired! Your body is going through a tremendous change and will let you know when to get up! Take advantage of the time off and get in all the sleep that you can now! Once you are back to a normal schedule, I am sure your body will respond accordingly. I'd rather be tired, than tired and Morbidly Obese! Keep excersizing and supporting our fellow May 2003 WLS'rs.

Hi Sondra! I had a small lump as you described right in the center of my incision. It turned out to be a small absess that eventually began draining a yellowish fluid until it subsided and returned to normal. The leakage was just a part of the healing and was nothing to worry about per my Dr. I am 4 weeks post-op today. Though I have had a few small setbacks, I am glad that I went through the WLS! All the best to you Sondra! I start back to work Monday, Exactly one month from my surgery date.

HI Donna, I had surgery the same day as you Lap Rny in San Francisco. I am back to work now. I have lost a total of 29lbs. I really want to get that 1lbs off to say yes 30lbs. I am still realy tired and go to bed early. But from what I understand this is compltely normal. I am drinking my protrine drink once a day but maybe I should be doing it 2 twice a day. I thought I was really prepared for the surgeyr until I had it now I feel like I am doing things wrong. Maybe this will pass to. Hope all is well with you. Debbie Dean

Topic: RE: post op low energy and out of breath
I had my surgery on May 22nd and still don't have a lot of energy. I do get out of breath and really start to sweat when I exert myself but every day does get better. I have problems with water as well. I think some of the symptoms may be from dehydration.

I'm a little over 3 weeks out and I can sleep, sleep, sleep!!! I believe I'm going into that "hybernation syndrome" thing. I'm just trying to do what I can, within reason, and get my liquids in. I'm eating about 400-650 calories a day, thanks to Real Meals, but I've been really tired the last 3-4 days. I'm just hanging in there, though. Thank God I don't have to go back to wor****il July 8th. I hope this is past by then!! I hope all May 2003 WLS posties are doing well! God Bless!

I am just 9 days post op and am having trouble getting my water down. It feels like it is getting a bubble stuck. So with this I don't know if I am not getting energy and getting out of breath when I exert myself. Has any one had this same or close problems?
