Topic: RE: Need help with SHAKES!!
I use an immersion blender.. It works great and makes the shakes frothy. You can probably get one for not to expensive from a local department store. Good luck! There's nothing worse that lumpy shakes!!!! Oh yeah, the tupperware suggestion works great too!!!!

yes, I too get hungry in the afternoon mainly. and early evening. but fruits dont taste the greatest to me. Still loving those sugar free popsicles and ice cream bars too much I guess!
It would help if I could cook something I like, more often, I am eating a LOT of potatoes though, they taste good!

I am over 2 months post op and KNOW that I have to get more protein in. I don't mind the taste of the protein shakes, but does anyone have suggestions on how to get them to mix up? I have tried to use a hand mixer with a special attachment and it still comes out in clumps! I hate milk because it has a real thick consistancy so this clumpy mess I am trying to drink gives me the hebiejeebies! HEELLPPPPP!
Topic: RE: 2 months post op-Wish I was melting more!
Hi Jeanette,
I am 6 weeks post-op open rny and I have been bummed out because I have only lost 28lbs. I have only lost 2lbs in the last 2 weeks! I am drinking plenty of water and walking a mile a day and working with weights. I am eating about 900 calories a day, mostly protein and it seems like I am fighting for every pound. It is frustrating, especially when we know how much less and better we are eating! Before surgery I could look at food and gain weight, and now I am starting to think I could be a failure.
I just keep on telling myself that any weight loss is great and it would have taken me months to lose 28lbs. without this surgery. Good Luck to you, I think we will both make it eventually...... Till then, we keep fighting.

Topic: Looking for a support group in west Michigan...
I am 2 months post op, down 49# so far, and like everyone else wi**** was going faster. I want to get into a support group, I live in the Grand Rapids area. Does anyone know of one here? Thanks!
Topic: 2 months post op-Wish I was melting more!
Hey there! I am 2 months post op today and down 45#. I am happy that I have lost it, but am getting greedy by wanting more!! I wi**** was more noticiable to people! I have not changed much in sizes and am frustrated by that. I wish I could fit into the smaller clothes I have. I think most of what I have is from when I was A LOT smaller. I was hoping to be 50# down by now. I have had 2 stricture dialations. Before I had them done, I really had a lot of trouble and stopped dropping because I couldn't get much down. I think that stall has stalled a lot! Hope everyone else is doing well and losing fast!

Teri,
I'm with ya! It is SO difficult to wait! You are doing better than me, so don't get that frustrated! I am 2 months out (9 weeks on Friday) and am only down 45#. I really wanted to be 50# down by 2 months but I see others that lost fast at the beginning and then petered out in the end, not getting to goal within a year. I have been struggling with the SAME thoughts! I have been really focusing on everyday...what am I doing to make this tool work for me. I can't think about yesterday, just do my best today! If we were all the same what a boring world this would be! Good luck and keep on using your tool!
