OMG - My husband, Bill Crittenden, lived in St. Joseph, MO for many years - from about 1974 through 1987. He was a chaplain at Heartland Hospital. How Cool! My W/L is a little slower than yours - 45 lbs in just under 12 weeks, but my starting weight was only 237 (at 5'2" that's alot). It's already becoming frustratingly slow, so I need to look at getting more exercise.
Keep up the good work.

Topic: 11 weeks and 6 days - update
In 11 weeks and 6 days, I've lost 45 lbs. I was hoping it would be more by now, but I'm happy with every pound lost. I still have about 60 or so more lbs to go so I'm not anywhere near goal, but I'm determined to get there. It's probably time to step up my exercise routine. While I'm not really fond of exercise, I realize it is the key to the long-term success of weightloss surgery. If there is anyone in or near Wilmington who is not part of a support group and wants to be, Dr. Harris is starting one in August at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. I will post details as soon as I know them.

It's totally amazing that I've lost 70 pounds in just under 10 weeks...I JUST started to play tennis for exercise and haven't really done anything else, but the weight just comes off...my new saying is "Every time I turn around, I lose a pound!" So, everyone else out there, keep it up as well!

Honey, it's your husband, Bob. I think that you are doing wonderful and looking great! The pounds you are so concerned about will eventually come off, but it will take time. Remember, "good things come to those who wait" I love you. Keep up the good work!

Surgery date 5-27-03. Began at 343, I just hit under 300!! Hallelujah!! I give God all the glory for this surgery! I have not had a single problem (outside of not chewing up a carrot stick on time) or not thrown up once. Nothing gives me a problem, I can eat anything that I want to - I keep my sugar intake down to under 10 grams per serving. I haven't had any pop, candy, or junk food in over 2 months. That is so cool, it's just unreal!! I hope the best for everyone!!
