My date was may, 15,2003 . My pre weight was 270 pounds and now I am at 214. I feel a little bummed because I have not reached my 200 mini goal. Any suggestions on losing the weight a little faster. Email me. Thanks

Wilda - I'm so glad that your weight loss has been a success. I had my surgery on 5/16/03 and weighed in @ 324. At the doctor's office yesterday, I'm @ 239, a total loss of 85 lbs.! I have no regrets, but has been one of the biggest challenges of my life. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

WOW who would have ever thought I would be under 200 and now even under 190. I Had my surgery May 6/2003 my weigh in was 248 and my highest weight before surgery was 282. I am now at 189 and so happy. Just looking for others who had there surgery around the same time to see how things are going for them.

Hi everyone A terrific question Sherri so that we can all realize that we're not alone in the weight we've been losing! I had my surgery May 2, 2003 and as of today am down -84 #'s. Although a good loss so far, it is discouraging that I am able to eat so much - about 7 to 8 oz at a time. I've always been able to eat this much

I had surgery 5/13 and am down 95 pounds. Can't wait to hit 100!! I feel wonderful. I have not been to a support group yet but The Cleveland Clinic (where I work and had the surgery) is starting one next week. Only bad thing is my ex will be there. He lost 200 pounds and apparently attends ALL the support groups. I wish I could just have ONE to myself!! He attends a weekly one and another monthly one. This one is every 3 months. Since I KNOW he wll gain the weight back (he is eating like he used to already 9 months out), I know it's only a matter of time until he is embarrassed and stops going but I would like just ONE support group for myself!! I have a 4 year old so cannot attend all these groups, a 3 month one is good for me!
Anyone else live int he Cleveland area?
