Wow - Size 12 with a 10 on the horizon? Very cool!! Must be the body size differences (and you've lost a lot more than I have) - but I"m from a 26/28 to an 18/16 but I"m happy! GOOD FOR YOU !!!

Good for you! But DO BEWARE of crossing your legs! I work a regular job for 4 1/2 hours a day in an office and I work from my home for another 5 or 6 hours a day. All at the computer and ALWAYS with my legs crossed. To make a long story short - the loss of weight and the constant crossed legs and the loss of padding/protection on the nerves under the back of my knees ... I have damaged the nerves (peroneal) and have had an extremely difficult time walking. There are signs of regeneration (since I've not been crossing for a month now) but it could take many weeks or months for total regeneration and the ability to walk smoothly returns.

Way to go! Have you noticed how much LESS ROOM those smaller sizes take in the drawers than our old clothes? Wow! We went on a little weekend trip to visit out of town relatives. I packed everything in my Longaberger Lg. Boardwalk Basket - and before that I would have taken a full size suitcase!

YEAH for you!!! Just keep on doing what you are supposed to do. Eat your small portions - don't try to eat an extra bite just 'cuz it tastes good. You'll get there! It might slow down - but if you still lose even 2-5 pounds a month you're still on your way!
Topic: RE: How long does it take to lose all the weight
My surgery was 5/27 and tomorrow is 5 months out. I've lost a total of 76 pounds (unless tomorrow brings a wonderful supprise!) I've been happy with the loss so far. Is it the fastest I've heard, NO. But I've not been hungry, I"ve not been pained, I've just been living a really truly life that doesn't seem to revolve around thinking about food all the time. I eat pretty much what I want, like if my family is having something I just eat a small portion - usually only choose ONE item and eat it only so I am satisfied with what I have had. Only about 4 ounces per meal - RARELY any snacks, BUT... Occassionally a Cheeto calls my name loud and clear at work so I buy the little 2 oz pkg. But I make it last me THREE days. *LOL* I haven't been able to exercise like I should - have had some problems with damaged peroneal nerves in my legs. But I figure as long as I am losing (only about 7 or 8 pounds this month) - I"m happy. Do I WISH I had faster loss? OF COURSE! I've got about 35 more pounds to go (started at 260) and am currently at 184/185.
Topic: RE: help with motivation
I do not go to the gym or anywhere else for exercise. I bought a Pilates tape, and watch it every day, doing my exercises of course, and have found it to be the best! Not only does it help with the weight loss, it helps tone you up. I don't think I am going to have to have a tummy tuck, because the Pilates helps so much. It is the best way to go. THe motivation is the results. Once you start this routine, and you see the results, you want to continue, because that hanging skin thing looks so bad!!!!!!!!
Good luck, and Congratulations on the weight loss so far!

Well Michelle, if you are not doing good. then I am doing worse. I had surgery 05/12/03. I weighed 269 lbs. So far I have lost 75 lbs, and weigh in at 194. I don't feel like I am losing too slow, or taking too long to get it off. I am happy with what I have accomplished so far, and am looking forward to losing more. Hope you get where you are going, and enjoy life while you are accomplishing your goal.
