Topic: RE: 8 months done 133 pounds
Stephanie, I am 9 mos. out and have lost 115 lbs. and also am feeling great. My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th Wedding Annv. on Feb 2nd. and I will be able to fit back into my wedding dress. Yea!!! I am going to surprise my dear Hubby. The only problem I am having is the fact that I cannot get used to, even now, not drinking with my meal. I always had at least 2 if not more glasses of iced tea at a meal and I miss that. You mentioned being cold, I know what you mean. I am always freezing. I know our heat bill will double this winter and Dh is wearing shorts around the house now. Like you I love my new life.

Topic: How much can you eat?
I am 7 1/2 months post-op and I am frightened by how much I can eat. I have been using the rules of the pouch to try to control food volume but it isn't always easy. My doctor was going to do a barium test but he decided that there couldn't be a problem as I had alreadly lost 100 pounds at 7 months. I like to eat until I feel slightly full but that is just too much food to continue to lose weight. I'm trying to eat more veggies to fill the void. I can eat about a cup and a half of food in one sitting. I am scared. Anyone else having this problem?

Topic: Just 8 months out and down 110 lbs. and feel great. Look about 20 yrs. younger
I'm down 110 lbs. feel great and look so much younger. Still can't get all my protein in but I think I'm doing great considering. I'm in a small pant (if it has elastic waist) and medium top. That's from a tight size 3x or 22-24. Just got back from a 12 day cruise with a friend and did a large amount of walking. Used stairs instead of elevators. Great improvement from my last cruise. Participated in everything instead of hiding. Got compliments from many people. What a great life!!! What a difference from a year ago. Am now working on doing a fashion show for the hospital on the 16th of May. So, if you live in or around the Boston area, please email me and I will be glad to give you the information. The models will be from the GBS dept. of the Beth Israel Hospital, Boston but anyone can come to the show. Good luck to those on the road to success.....Bobbi

Hi! Cindy from Maryland here. My date was May 15, 2003. I started at 254 and weighed in at 162 lbs today! That's 92 lbs gone forever! I was wearing a tight 24 and now wear a loose 16...I am planning on hitting 140 lbs, and then will be satisfied.

Yep, I felt the same as Allee. In the beginning I thought... If I can just lose the weight I won't worry myself with anything else... but now I'm thinking that If I can get insurance to cover... I'll consider it. I'm feeling like a deflated balloon too. LOL I would only be interested in TT and breast... but definitely the breasts... these poor balloons have seen better days. Gosh, what all that extra weight does to a body is unbelievable.

Although I was a bit of a coffee drinker pre-op, I too, have started liking it a lot more! I'm not sure it's the coffee..or the warm liquid on my stomach that feels so good! My surgery was 5-13-2003, and I have lost 93 pounds..wearing a size 8! Yippee!!
