Topic: RE: How much can you eat?
I may get flamed here but......... I am mostly watching my calorie intake. I try to limit the carbs but they are my love and I shall enjoy a taste when I want. Just not in a large amount. Some things I have banned from my life.. French Fries.. due to my obsession. But crackers and chips and salsa I do endulge in. Now about the size... Since having a stricture till 4 months I think my tummy is still pretty small. I have no fear I have stretched the tummy. I can't even keep chili down usually STILL... but yesterday was a good day.... here's what I had. For lunch at school yesterday I ate 1 chicken strip.. about equal to 1 1/2 chicken nuggets at Mc Donalds but this was at school.. I had about 3 bites of green beans.. 4 bites of (small) mashed gravy mashed potatoes and almost 1/2 biscuit. This was about the most I have ever eaten at one time and it stayed down. I wont go over this limit. I stopped before I was full. I hate throwing up at school. I try not to drink with my meals. Thats what I ate. Very slowly and well chewed. deb 260/160/140 revision May 28, 2003

I'm getting tummy tuck and breasts done. I'm scheduled for May and hope to be able to keep that date. I will be self-pay so I will be arranging a bank loan just as I did for WLS. My rationale is that if I would be buying a new car right about now anyway. Instead, I'm using that money to create a whole new life for myself. After all, I spend an hour or so each day in my car but 24 hours a day in my body and I want my body to look like how I feel. I'm going back to Mexico for my plastics. I had WLS by Dr. Aguirre in Ensenada and he recommended Dr. Gongora at the Genesis Clinic in Rosarita Beach, MX. I'll go for a consult in March and will know more then about total cost and all that I can have done. My focus is tummy tuck and breast lift. If I can afford thighs too, I'll go for it. If not, I'll just hope that by pulling up skin for the TT, it will do enough that I'll be happy in shorts.

Topic: RE: r u a coffee drinker?
I drank coffee pre-op but now I like it really, really strong which I couldn't handle pre-op at all. Go figure! I wonder what it is. However, I can only have one (big) cup a day, usually in the morning. If I have more than that, I get sick.

Topic: RE: How much can you eat?
I'm 9 months out and in the last week or so I've noticed a significant increase in how much food I can eat. At this point I'm not concerned about it because my portions are still considerably less than "normal" and I don't mind if my losing slows down a bit. I was actually a bit nervous about the fact that I've been eating so little for 9 months so this is a welcome change.

Topic: RE: 8 months done 133 pounds
My surgery was 5/7/03 and I've lost 93.5 pounds. I would like to continue losing about 13 more pounds because I am wearing size 12 and would like to be an 8 or 10. I would probably be able to wear an 8 if I could get a tummy tuck. I have very baggy skin on my stomach, arms and thighs, but the tummy is what I'd like to have fixed.

Hi Cinthia, I wrote you not long after my surgery May 12, 03. I have only lost 80 lbs (only! I can't believe I said that!) but I'm on the plateau from hell! 2 plus months at 227!!(down from 307) Any suggestions? I'm from Elkridge, by the way. Thanks... Connie
