Hi Deb Have you considered finding out about just a lift? Honestly, my guess is that a lot of the DD cup is due to excess skin, but actual breast tissue is probably fine and it's not necessary to remove that. Sure hope this helps and sending smiles Caroline

Hi Stacy Just wanted to send hugs of support your way, and hang in there! You will be fine! To truly gain 5 lbs, you would have had to eat over 18,000 EXTRA calories above and beyond what you need each day to maintain your weight. My guess is that the weight gain is probably a lot of water. My recommendation is to go "back to basics" and focus on high protein foods, set meals (no snacking), etc. You may need to "white knuckle" the cravings for a few days, but they WILL subside providing you stay with high protein foods/drinks. Hang in there and know you will be fine!!! Hugs Caroline

Kathy, thank you for your advice....your e-mail made me feel alittle better about my weight loss(or no weight lost) I was glad to hear that you have done so good!! you lost over 100 lbs!! I would give just about anything to kick start my losing again.....I am making myself sick over it!! I am giving it a few more weeks and then I plan on going to the doctor to see what he says about it.....let me know how you come along with your loss. and again thanks sooooooo much for your words of encouragement!!! god bless you, candi

Candi, I had my surgery on May 28th too. Also like you I have almost stopped losing. I have been up and down from 149 to 151 (started at 268) since Feb. I haven't done much of anything different that I can pinpoint. I would like to lose another 20lbs. but I remember my surgeon telling me in the beginning that I would probably get down to about 150. I wonder how they figure that. Just keep looking ahead and you will get there. Don't give up your dream of being the size you want to be!!!!

Hi Jeff I found when I eat products that have the ingredient Mannitol or the sugar alcohols that kills me. I prepare for it. If I eat one of those products I give myself 3hrs and make sure I am home

Hi there Kathy! Yep! I have the same thing happening, just recently! I started at 264, surgery on 5-9-03. Last month I was at 152 and then like 2 days later it popped up to 155! I have been hovering at like 154-155 for the past 2 1/2 week. I lose in chunks around "that time of the month" so I am waiting for my chunk to fall off this month! It also normally comes right before my monthly anniversary date. I would like to lose 20-25 more pounds before my one year anniversary date, which is a little less than 6 weeks away =C I think it's not happening. If I could get into the 130s, even 139, before my anniversary I would be THRILLED! That is 15 pounds! I have really gotta focus to get there! Good luck to everyone! Sorry to say I, too, have no major words of wisdom. I have basically stayed the same for the past few weeks. Although I'm happy where I am at 142, with a total loss of 98 pounds. I would like to get at least another 2 off to say I've lost 100!

Candi I have no words of wisdom as I have been messin with the same 3-4 pounds for the past 3 months. It is horrible. Just hang in there--maybe try to eat totally different foods than you have been-that is said to kind of shock your system a little bit. Good luck to you- I will be 1 yr post-op on May 5!
