EATING MORE
IT FEELS LIKE ALL OF SUDDEN I CAN EAT MORE AT ONE TIME. I AM DOING FINE. MY SURGERY WAS 5/13/03 AND I HAVE LOST 128 LBS. I FEEL AFRAID I WILL GAIN EASILY NOW. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT AFTER 14 MONTHS. I CAN NOW EAT A SANDWICH AT ONE TIME WHERE BEFORE I COULD NOT. THIS HAPPENED ALL OF A SUDDEN. I DO FEEL LIKE I WANT TO EAT MORE. BUT I AM IN CONTROL. OPEN FOR ANY SUGGUSTIONS. IT SEEMS WEIRD THAT THIS SHOULD HAPPEN NOW . THANKS LORI
First off congradulations on your weight loss... Way to go! I understand what you are feeling... I too can eat way more then I could, say about a month ago... I had my surgery 05/15/03 down 190 pounds... It depends on the day for me... Someday's I wake up and I am very hungry and could eat a lot that day... Other days I do not feel like eating at all... weird? But my portion size is diffinatly bigger now.. compared to like a cup full of what ever I was eating 6 months ago... I just keep track of what I am eating and how much of it... and I weigh myself every couple of days... to make sure I do not gain the weight back...! Never want to be large again!!!!! Ain't going to happen! Good luck and remember tomorrow is always another day...
Hi Lori
Congrats on your weight loss!!!! For me, I began experiencing this at about a year out, but the thing is that some days I can eat more than others. Lately, I've been able to eat more, and I am glad for this as I don't want to be losing any more fat (I am actually getting underweight at this time). Keep sticking to planned meals and know you will be fine!!!!

Hi Lori! I'm there with you! I had my surgery is 5/03 and am experiencing the exact same. I'm getting married this Saturday and my entire body is in some weird hyperdrive and this week I'm no****ching protein.. but to give you an example... at 7:30AM I had 3 pks of Quaker instant oatmeal w/splenda.. at 8:00 I had a pack of 6 crackers and cheese. Nibbled down 2 cookies from the breakroom around 8:20AM. 10AM I indulged in a 1/2 can of refried beans w/about 1/2 cup of cheese melted on top. Around 10:50 I had about 1 cup of cheez it's. Compared to my 1/2 cup portions of just a month ago I feel that I'm eating way too much and way too often... and this week not even the right foods. So, please don't feel alone with this - I have heard other's mention it happens and to just be cautious about the amount you eat. My sister (who also had surgery) tries to just eat 3x per day - protein packed meals. We're all different!
Best wishes!
