Hi everybody, im 10 months post op and 121 pounds down. I was 126 pounds down, but lately i've had the urge to snack and my old eating habits are coming back. It seems like i cant stop, i cant stop snacking and now and i fell as though this is the end for me. Please if you have any recommendations send them to me.

Hi Stacy, You have done so well!!!CONGRATULATIONS!!! Pray to God in Heaven to give you strength to continue on. Hand all of your mental issues off onto Him. He wants to be in a relationship with you. Pray to Him to make you strong. You cannot do it on your own. You need God to provide you with the courage and strength to continue to walk into the unknown land of slimness. I know that sounds weird, but you and I got fat for a reason. Those reasons are trying to keep you fat. Don't waste your precious Honeymood time trying to figure them out. Just give them over to our precious God above. That is my advice. I hope it helps. He is the only thing that gets me through my rough patches. He is a good and merciful God. Embrace His love for you. Thanks so much lisa, your words of encouragement means so much to me. Today was a better day and I owe it all to god, because without his strength and love for me I know I couldn't get through this. Today when I went to weigh in I loss 2 pounds when just yesterday I was up 2. I was so happy, and even happier that I didn't snack today. I know that this is just a test of my faith and im going to pass! THANK YOU SO MUCH! GOD BLESS Stacy Baker

Hi Stacy Just wanted to send hugs of support your way, and hang in there! You will be fine! To truly gain 5 lbs, you would have had to eat over 18,000 EXTRA calories above and beyond what you need each day to maintain your weight. My guess is that the weight gain is probably a lot of water. My recommendation is to go "back to basics" and focus on high protein foods, set meals (no snacking), etc. You may need to "white knuckle" the cravings for a few days, but they WILL subside providing you stay with high protein foods/drinks. Hang in there and know you will be fine!!! Hugs Caroline

Carbs crave carbs. You almost surely have to go cold turkey. Need to up protein and water and nip this in the bud.
