Just a Hello from 2005!

Hello everyone. Reading through your posts gives me memories of what my date forum looked like the year I had my surgery. Today is my 8 year surgiversary. I had a vertical banded gastric bypass on 04/25/2005. I wish you all the best of luck, and I hope that you have wonderful success stories to tell next year. If there's any advice I can offer from what I experienced, it's to make absolutely sure that you have prepared your mind for what you're about to go through. This is the potentially the biggest, most challenging event of your lives. The most important thing you need right now is support from your family and friends. Educate yourselves and talk with as many post-ops as possible. This site is tremendously helpful, and will be a major source of support through the next months and years.
