Topic: How much can you eat now???
Hey all! Just dropping by to say hi, and I hope you all are doing good.

Quick question: At 10 months out how much can you eat now? I am not entirely sure but I think a cup is about all I can handle at a time. I need to work on my snacking though! Eeik!!

How about you all?

I wish I had some magic answer. In the beginning I just ignored the craving, as I got further out, I may have given in and usually paid the price by getting sick like 3-4 weeks out.

Try your best to stick to the plan! Good luck.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else felt or is feeling this way.  I am home now for 6 days and the past 2 days I have been craving food.  I am still on full fluids for another week.   If anyone had cravings or are having cravings what have you done to get over this?  thanks alot, Maggie

I had stalls as well. To get out of a stall I upped my excercise a bit and also went back to protein shakes and really kept an eye on my protein, making sure I got A LOT each day. This always helped break the stall.

Good luck. I'm sure you are not done. I am still losing and not even trying to ! It will happen for u

Topic: RE: Nothing's tasting good - Do you have that problem???
I had my surgery April 19th, 2010. I was having a hard time with that problem too. But I seem to have gotten my tastebuds back. Its not the same but better. I also have been getting really nauseus lately. Maybe its just a phase. I am losing an average of 1 pound a week so its really frustrating esppecially since I seem to be getting hungry alot. Craving snacks....but i will push through it. I didnt come this far to slip back into my old ways right?

It was getting so bad that I finally checked with my surgeon's office and they said I probably have a stomach acid problem and they gave me a presciption antacid.  It worked after about 4 - 5 days and things are much better now.

I had surgery on April 26, 2010...and I am having the same issue lately....nothing taste good.  I smell the food and it smells sooooo good and when I eat itI'm so disappointed because it doesn't taste good.  My fall back food is my cottage cheese pizza.  I take a tortilla, put pizza sauce, cottage cheese and shredded cheese on it, bake until edges are crispy and that is my go-to food.  I have it 4-5 nights a week for supper.  For lunch its usually ABC's & 123's.
It does seem to be getting worse.  Somedays even my go-to foods don't taste good.

I know it's been a while since you've responded to my question, and I hope you are continuing to do great.  You look wonderful and your smile is an indication you are feeling just as wonderful.  The birthday cruise probably helped too.  Glad you had such a memorable 40th.  I don't remember mine, hmmmm.  LOL

I caught myself eating carbs again  not happy about that, but I'm glad I realized it.

Can you PLEASE give me an example of what you eat in a whole day?  I feel like such a failure, and I know I need to measure things, but how much of these things is my question.  Am I doing things wrong?  I just don't know.

I was told by a Dr. in a meeting once, that how your muscles react to sugar, in general, is a big factor in the weight loss game.  Not that I eat sugars, but I'm wondering if I have one of those systems.

I went to see the dietitian 6 months out and she had a look of disappointment on her face, although she didn't say anything negative, I felt like she was giving off vibes.  She just didn't seem happy with my progress.

Well, I'm looking forward to your reply, and again, you do look wonderful.  Keep  up the great work.
