Sorry to hear we are in the same boat when it comes to energy. Have you tried the 30 gram protein drinks from Costco. So far they are the only ones that taste good to me.

Topic: All was well until yesterday
Everything was going just fine until yesterday.  I had been progressing along with the diet phases and then I must have eaten something for lunch yesterday that just did not agree.  I had some cod that had some curry in the sauce. I spent the rest of the afternoon throwing up off and on and having major "pouch" pain & belching.  I did not get my liquids or protein in.  So to start the day today I am sipping on some zero calorie vitamin water, have had a couple saltines just to make sure all has settled down.  Now I am afraid to try to eat anything.  I have a big headache (probably from being dehydrated).  Oh what fun

I would agree, it depends on how much you have to lose.  We are losing and that is the main thing.  I bet you are losing inches though!!!

My energy level is ZERO.  And I would imagine it's from not getting in enough protein.  I am having an awful time getting myself straightened around here.  I can't find a shake I can tolerate.  Can't eat much.  I don't know what to do with myself.  sigh.

Thank you for the advice.

I've been averaging around 60 - 70 grams of protein a day. My Dr. said he wants me to limit protein drinks and get the protein from regular food. He also said I need to eat more calories. :-(. This is  easier said then done. I've requested an appointment with the nutritionist.

Well lets liven things up a bit  I have not been here before so here goes. My RNY was 4/21 and all is well so far except slow wt loss. I feel great physically not so good emotionally. I have energy and go to the gym 5+ times a week.  Eating is Ok as long as I remember to eat slowly  I enjoy the protein drinks especially Costco's so getting my protein is no problem. I am happy to have connected with melting mama and we IM and meet at the mall sometimes. Always good to make new friends. I hope everyone reading this is doing well,  write and let us know  Enjoy the sunshine

If you start out at a lower weight you don't lose as quickly. We'll all get there

Mandee - keep the faith, it's hard for all of us, but there has been too many successful people telling us that everything will work out in the long run & we have no choice but to believe them!

And to Meonlybetter - you're an inspiration for that reply!  I think we all needed that :)

THANKS,

Kate

I agree with the MeltingWoman.... to date I've lost 25lbs & I can't seem to fathom how the hell I can eat 600 calories in a day and not already be at goal (hehe) seriously - why is it coming off so slowly?

I'm impatient & I know that..... but I am losing & NOT GAINING so I have to be happy about something!

Keep in touch!
