Topic: Me in a bathing suit!!! haha
Well, I'm pretty happy at 2.5 months out and 50 lbs down. so I thought I would post some pics. My family and I spent the last week at the beach and I was pretty happy with my bathing suit. I know I have a lot to go but this was the first time I wasn't covered from head to toe or feeling disgusting.

Hi Wonderling! I am so happy to hear that you are doing so well, its fantastic news!
I am down 49lbs, I have been walking about 3-4 days a week and I am down about 2 sizes. As a matter of fact, the jeans that are a size down that I bought at the thrift store a few weeks ago are already loose! HA! Amazing!
Keep up the great work!

Since surgery I have lost 43 lbs all together I am down 75lbs. I feel amazing I am sleeping through the ngiht and not waking up 100 times. My sleep quality is amazing feels great. I have my energy back and I feel like myself again I try to excercise every day and I really enjoy it I used to really enjoy excercise before I gained the last 50-75 lbs after having children. I also have went from a 24 to an 18

You are doing great. I have no problem with shakes, I like the Costco chocolate 30gms protein and 180cals. My problem is slow wt loss. My RNY was 4/21 and as of my 8week Dr visit I am only down 25lbs I work out 5+ times a week and follow my food guidelines 60+gms protein and 750-800 cals and I am still FAT.
Oh well, blood pressure is down and energy is up so I have to be patient.
Hope you find some protein shakes you like

I am almost 9 wks out and down 55 lbs... I stalled forever, it felt like! A friend of mine is 1 1/2 mos out and guess what, has already lost a HUNDRED! Of course he started at 450ish lbs... The more u have to lose the faster u lose.DOn't get discouraged. It will happen! Just make sure you are getting the protein in (I know its tough, I am not the best always either!)
I love watching the BMI drop and I have a weight loss chart/tracker on my iphone. It's cool to see it drop! I have a BMI of 32 now , it was exactly 40 pre-RNY...

Topic: LARGE really???? WOW
OK so I HAVE to have my husband take some pics of me!
I bought 3 new dresses in size....LARGE...this coming from someone who was a xxl, 2, 2x , 18/20... I'm a 14/16 and a LARGE. HUUUUUGE accomplishment. And I am loving the way I look but most of all the spectacular way I FEEL!!!! YAY! I have gotten so many compliments from friends, family and co-workers and I've learned to finally say "thank you" instead of "yeah well I still need to lose more" etc and in reality, what I was doing was not accepting the compliment and putting myself down. I am happy and I feel like the real Michelle is here now...not hiding under 55+ lbs of fat, increasingly poor health and misery. I know my mom, who passed 10 yrs ago from high bp causing a massive stroke, would be proud. I don't want to die at 39 because of my health like my mommy unfortunately did. I want to stay alive...and I am working to do that!
My arthritis is being a pain these days, my right ankle is acting up again... little jerk! I take Mobic which is a prescription anti-inflammatory and 1 of 2 that are ok to take post-RNY. It's working like it should, but I was hoping to stay off of it. Only been back on it for a couple wks as needed. My fibromyalgia has been behaving. So that is a major plus.
I am down to 203! I started this whole journey at 258. 55 pound loss, yes FIFTY FIVE in 2 mos. I am trying to lose 20-25 more, then I will probably begin maintenance. I DO NOT want to be really thin, i want to keep my curves, just smaller ones... I think a 12/14 is good for me.I am honestly big boned and 5' 8" so I don't want to be a stick figure. lol
I am so so so glad I had RNY.
Good luck to you all...I will get pics up ASAP.Going to my bro's graduation party tomorrow where I will see relatives I haven't seen in 4ish yrs! Wait till they see me! They haven't met my 2 1/2 yr old son either or seen my husband since his 100 lb weight loss. We are like strangers! lol lol Talked to my Grandma today who hasn't seen me since my 30 lb loss...another 25 now...she is going to be shocked. I need to make sure I am wearing something super cute hahaha one of my new dresses for sure with heels!! yay! Now I love fashion even more (my husband hasn't said one word about me shopping since I sold a ton of clothes on ebay and made $300 from it...try it! )
