I vote for the protein bar in case. I went to a big catered event last week for work and I tried a few things but everything was dry or covered in sauce that I was nervous about.
I have been carrying an emerg. protein bar every where I go and it's come in handy 2 times when the options weren't worth the risk.
However, you are probably going to be fine and be able to find some good options!

I had a special dinner yesterday at my brother's house to celebrate Father's Day....and it didn't go well for me. So I just excused myself to the bathroom, vomited, felt better and returned to the table and enjoyed conversation. No one was the wiser.

Well, they usually serve some type of protein so I would just stick with that. Maybe some veggies. I wouldn't try anything new in public, though stick to that in private in case it goes bad. Just focus on the company and dancing, you'll be fine. I've avoided most parties until now so good luck.

so i am going to a wedding this Saturday and am kinda nervous because i don't know what they will be serving and if i will tolerate it. has anyone gone to a wedding yet and how did you deal with it?

I'm not sure, I cropped it in Photo shop, then resized on one of those websites. My other avie was from a phone camera and it was blurry, someone redid it for me and sent it back and I uploaded. I'm not sure what she did to it. I just thought it was nice! lol.

That's great! My stamina isn't quite where it was before surgery but it's getting there. It's exciting to see your clothes becoming too big for so may years I wear the dryer was shrinking them.

In your bathing suit picture you and I look like identical twins. I swear our faces look exactly the same. I am going to take a picture and you will see. I have had people tell me I look exactly like someone they know but this is the first time for me to see someone that looks like me. Even our smile is exact.
I am going to copy your picture and I bet my husband will think you are me. I would even think you were me if I had amnesia or something!!! I used to live in Florida so the ocean will not be unusual in the background.

I was looking at my hospital pictures and profile pictures taken pre-surgery and I am amazed at how much smaller I am. From 4x to Misses Large in tops and 16 Misses in pants. I am short and I didn't think 40 pounds would make a difference but reality sunk in when I saw the other pictures.
