Yeah Baby!! I think it's natural to be scared, I was. When this is over and you've moved on to your new life You will hardly remember these fears. Now is the time to start 'visualizing' Your new life, your new body, how things will be. I beleive it did wonders for me. Oh and btw we'll be 3yrs 3 days appart. Very Kewl.

I am aiming for surgery on the 19th but it may get pushed to the 28th depending on how long it takes for me to get a receipt for my passport application. I still have some paperwork to gather. When will you know for sure?

Topic: RE: Did you have (or do your plan to have) a last meal?
same here. my husband and i were planning a trip to each of my two favorite restaurants. one for fish and chips and the other for a huge juicy steak. i thought i had another 3 weeks to do it all in since my original date was May 3. through a twist of cir****tances i ended up changing my surgery date to April 12 on April 1st! so i had to IMMEDIATELY start the diet! oh well, the benefits far outweigh the loss of a last binge dinner...lol.

Topic: RE: Have You Made Post-OP Preparations?
So far I have bought a new digital scale and some smaller containers for making meals ahead. I have been on the vitamins since January, when I went to my first office visit and they suggested we get used to some of the changes, like daily vitamins! I've been taste testing some varieties of protein drinks, but am still open to suggestions (hint hint!)
Mainly today I have had to fight to keep my mind on what I am doing at work because all I can think about is how happy I am that I got my approval, and that April is right around the corner.
NancyThat's my date too! It's just now beginning to sink in with me. How are you doing on the pre op diet?
These are some of the things I've done to get ready so far.
1. have bought several 2 and 4 oz containers to store food.
2. have set 2 pantry shelves up just for my food and drinks.
3. have organized my closet by size so they'll be ready when i drop :-D
4. bough****er bottles with lids instead of with straws or suction tops.
5. made my post op appt with my family doctor for B12 shot and iud
6. bought all my vitamins and and put them in a basket with an old cell phone that has alarms set
up so that I will remember to take them.
