Topic: RE: 3 months gone.....how are you doing??
Hi All-

I am three months out today and feel great!  I have lost 81lbs and am stunned!  I have gone from a 32/34 to a 22/24 and am delighted.  I am wearing some clothing I have not worn in years!

I had some serious complications at first and my doc says no vigorous exercise until 4 months post-op.  I am anxious to start exercising for increased weight loss.  I do swim a little and figure that is OK and easy on me.

A few weeks ago, I started to feel normal again and have noticed a huge boost in my energy.

Some days the pouch is happy and some days it is not.  Chicken and lettuce do not work for me. I am sensitive to sugar and have eliminated it from my diet.

Despite all of my complications and re-hospitalizations, I would do this all over again.

Pink!

I am now down 128 lbs!  I can't believe it.  90 of those lbs are since surgery.  I feel great and have more energy that I ever could have imagined.  So what if I've lost about half of my hair, they make wigs everyday...LOL.  I had WAY to much to began with.  Now everyone around me wants to have this surgery to.  I always tell them that it's not an easy fix only a tool.  Hope everyone has a great day.

Well here is some persceptive for you.  I am almost 3 months out, just a few days shy and I have lost 31 lbs.  I am happy with that!!!  I am taking my measurements and they are falling off like crazy.  Overall I have lost 51lbs, this would never have been possible without my RNY.  Put the scale away and only weigh yourself at most once a week, and measure yourself instead.  Works for me.  My Dr. says I am doing great and that this is the best way to do it by following all the rules and getting everything in.

My god, I know what you mean! I also am getting kind of tired of dodging all the compliments..it does get old. I commend you on your weight loss and like a previous poster said...stick to what you are doing and your weight goal is what YOU want it to be!

I absolutely can relate to you on alot of the points you made. I also am scared of eating too much. I allow myself a 1/2 servng of carbs a day, usually goldfish crackers and I dont feel guilty. I also have problems with plain water, I drink alot of crystal light peach tea. I dont think I am eating too much, but I really dont know until I talk to the surgeon on the 30th. Best of everything to you..keep up the good work!

I'm not sure I have the opposite problem I can't seem to go! I'm lucky to go 1-2 a week. Good luck though
