DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT compare your loss with others!! We all vary! As long as your doc says you are on the right path, you are on the right path.
I am down 75 lbs (65 since surgery) and 3 1/2 mos out... See, we are all different. I am a "lightweight" I barely made the 40 bmi and I have an 85 lb total weight loss goal so I am 10 away. It just depends on our bodies, amount we need to lose, activity level, diet , age etc...

You are doing great! Keep it up!

Topic: 4 mos out...STILL VOMITING DAILY! HELP!
I hope someone can offer some help. I am nearly 4 mos post RNY... I am STILL throwing up everyday, not every meal, but at least once a day. SOmetimes more often... Doesn't necessarily matter what I eat, however ALL MEATS don't agree well with my pouch. I have a checkup on Monday (my 3 month, stupid insurance made the appt get canceled and rescheduled so I am behindnow) and I fully intend on talking with the PA about it. I am convinced that they need to go in and widen the opening from my pouch into my intestine. I have heard about this complication before (stricture?) and I have been having a lot of vomiting from day 1. My weight loss has been very successful naturally (down 75) but I am also frustrated. I don't regret a thing but I am just wondering what the heck is going on? I thought this would all stop, and it hasn't!!!

Topic: RE: 3 months gone.....how are you doing??
Sounds like everyone is doing great.  I am down 130 lbs from my high weight and 81 lbs since surgery.  My energy level is great.  Now wearing 2x size 22.  They are getting loose but not able to push into a 20 yet (yes I have tried).

Goodwill has become my friend.  Can go in there and shop all day get a new wardrobe and spend under $50.  I LOVE it.

I work night shift and ofter go to the gym after work in the mornings.  I bike, swim and do water aerobics. My knees feel SOOOOOO much better.  Actually went to the mountain with my husband a couple weeks ago and was able to do some low impact hiking.  Not been able to do that in years.  Can go to Wal-Mart and actually WALK around the store.  I do not regret my decision at all.  Would do it again tomorrow.

You are doing great.  I also hit my 3 month w/ the same surgery date.  I have not taken my measurements but have noticed even the most recent sale summer clothes I bought are fitting loser.  I have lost 50 lbs.  Taking those measurements tonight though.  Good Job!!

Congrats on the fantastic weight loss!!!   The hair is not the end of the world either...I lost alot of hair too..and didn't have much to spare.  But....there is hope....lol;   I take 5000 mcg of biotin and a silica pill daily and my hair has been growing back in nicely.  No wig necessery!!    It took about 3 weeks to start seeing results, but it really works.  Good luck and keep posting about your success!! ;o)

Deltapearl-

Me too!!!   My surgery was 4/28 and in the last week just got energy back.  My PCP said to wait until 4 months post-op to begin any vigorous exercise.  I know that prior to now, would not have had the "umph" to do it.

So all of that said, I do a bit of walking and swimming and have lost 81lbs.  I can't wait to see what happens when I do get to the gym.

Thanks!
