Yippee your day has almost come!
I saw that you posted on a "positive" approach forum. Very interesting. I just asked to join. I don't mind a variety of life approaches but after reading some of the comments that followed yours I thought YES, what a refreshing concept.
Stay well hydrated this weekend in anticipation of staying empty those hours before surgery.
Afterward, my goal was to sip, rest, walk, sip, rest, walk, etc. Keep the stress as low as possible.
No regrets here. I love that I had this surgery . Wishing for you smooth sailing next week.

I haven't gone yet either. Sugery was on Monday.I had tons of painful gas before coming home from surgery and passed gas and felt a lot better. Should I be worried that I haven't had a BM yet?

OK, so no laughing at me...I thought I had hunger pains; but was informed at my doctor's office today it was more than likely gas...Gas X all the way..

Glad your half the way there Emily...I am lucky to be so close to my hospital. My meds were making me very ill too; so I did get the pain med changed. So far that was a good decision..No nausea with this one. My blood pressure finally went back up (it was very very low 90/50) but with my pain level up had risen to 130/82, so the doctor said keeping on the pain med for now might help keep the blood pressure down. Maybe some consideration before you leave; but sure you will do fine if your not in a lot of pain without it. Glad the hotel broth is better than the hospital. Have a safe journey home. Kat

Well, I'm out of the hospital and back at the hotel in Mexico. I have to stay here for 3 more days and then can fly home. Gosh, I can't wait to get home. I'm really missing my youngins' and hubby. Really lucky to have my mother (the perfect caretaker) but just missing home. Taking my meds is making me feel sick so I wonder if I can go with out them. The doc said to space them out so tried to do that today.
So glad to be out of the hospital, they had horrid jello and yucky apple juice. I guess it was the difference between countries, but that was yucky. Even the nutrition dept came and asked me why I wasn't eating. lol.
I'm lucky the hotel has great broth and jello that I liked. So onward and upward.

Good luck on Monday! I can not wait. Luckily since I'm a Lap Band, I will be out of the hospital in the afternoon. Take care and let us know how you are soon.

I am home! Had surgery on Tuesday and came home today, hardly any gas pain and no problems with water, I hope it stays that way I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.
