Great to have you aboard the April bus
. My date is 20th , and I am having a revision from band to sleeve. I have 2 sons back home in England plus one grandson back there too. One day I will go back there to live. I think I must be the oldest on the April list as I am 60 years young 
but hey, age is but a number right?

Hi Lissa. I am Kathy. Had my RNY this last Tuesday. Up and around although still sore. Things are slowly improving though. Good luck to you with your surgery. Wishing you the speedy recovery too.

Had an RNY..Doc had me drink a bottle of Citrate of Magnisium the night before. Was totally empty by the next morning for sure. But it was not awful.

Kim, I am right there with you! My surgery is 4/12/2010. I have a 30 year old duaghter, two grandchildren 3 and 22 months and two sons in their mid twenties. I have fought this weight issue my entire life and it is never to late to get healthly and hot! Best wishes and luck to all of us having surgery this month. Kathy

I just finished packing... for the hospital and hotel stay afterwards... I'm nervous... but oh so excited too. :)

Best of luck to you, I'm having RNY on the 20th. I guess I'm the oldie on the boards, I have a daughter who is turning 29 this week, have a 2 year old grandon and another on the way !

My doctor doesn't require bowel prep the day before surgery. However, he does require a 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery, so I would guess he gets the same results, just takes longer !

Did you bowel prep the day before surgery??? My surgery is Monday and my surgeon's group said I don't need to bowel prep and gave me a diet to follow the day before surgery. My primary care doc thinks I should bowel prep. Have to say I'm not looking forward to it and the diet looks a lot more appetizing. Any insight???
