You are doing super! I hope you pat yourself on the back often. Isn't it amazing how much better we feel with every 10 pounds lost. I hit plateaus all the time but I keep a log and it helps to see the big picture. I am glad you posted. You are an inspiration.

Topic: More Surgery August 17
Here I go again...I am having incisional hernia repair and gallbladder removel next week. I look like I am 10 months pregnant and have a hernia the entire length of my open incision. The surgery is going to be done over the RNY incision so I am going to have another 2 month recovery time. I haven't been able to eat anything except for shakes and cream of wheat.

Still I am in better health by far than I was 4 months ago. This probably sounds silly but I feel great when I am not sick. So this is just a bump in the road and it will be fixed. I am going to the Med-Mart to rent one of those chairs that help you stand. I got one 3 days after my RNY and it was a life saver.

Hi every one ,i know I don't write often butt I am on this website everyday. I just wanted to give a Little up date about my progress, so I have lost 131.6 lb since my heaviest weight and 107.6 since surgery which is 28.5% of my body weight gone for ever. And know I weight 329.4.
I have lost a total of 50.5 inches : waste :-12 ; neck:-2 ;                bicep:-1.5 ; chest :-13.5 ; hip :-10 ; thigh: -7.5 and calf : -4.
I went from a size 32 to a 24(almost 22,I can put it on but is to tight lol)on the bottom and a size 5X (not all the models only some of them) to 3X and very soon to 2X.
 I am very happy of the result to date and can't Waite to get to my goal  of 190 and maybe less.

HW: 461   SW:437  CW:251 under 260 oh yaaaa  GW:190

I hope you feel better soon.  A month ago I contracted a stomach bug that put me in the hospital.  Docs all thought it was surgery related, but it ended up being just a bug.  BUT, my WLS surgeon ordered an endoscopy which did find a very small stricture.  It was a 10 min procedure; I was out the whole time; no pain; simple.  Now I can eat meat if I chew it up real good.  Before the procedure, I would get food stuck all the time; I threw up several times a week.  I was amazed how this simple procedure changed my life.  Oh, and the flu just ran its course.

SO, have your doc check it out.  God Bless and good luck with everything.

I weigh 216
lost from 231 July 4th, so like 16 lb for July
I don't count calories but protein and carbs.
I stay at 50 carbs a day and over 100 protein.
I try to work out 5 days a week. I'm doing C25K 3 days a week and elliptical/bike two days a week. I am trying to add strength training but its hard for me to stick with it.

Remember we all lose at different rates. Just do what you should and it will come off.

don't compare yourself to BOOM, she is a machine!! lol Love ya!

My weight is 209
Yes I am losing WONDERFULLY!! (Due to my starting to exercise)
The daily averages I never count those...
I exercise four times a week on my treadmill for 2 miles at a comfortable pace...

My appetite is coming back too girl!! And I do not dump so I do indulge every blue moon, nothing wrong with that. I am still losing steadily, and skinny people indulge at times! You are doing so good on your weight loss! Congrats!

Hi all,

I'd like to know:

Your current weight: 296
Are you losing good right now: 6 pounds in last three weeks
Daily Avg Cals: 1000
Daily Avg % Protein: 42%
Daily Avg % Fat: 30%
Daily Avg % Carbs: 28%
How often do you exercise and for how long: 2-3 times per week, 20 min bike, 0.5 mile walk and bowflex (eight exercises, 3 reps of 10 each)

I'm asking because I've noticed I can eat a bit more now and my appetite is coming back.  At the same time my weight loss has just slowed a bit and I'm wondering if I'm consuming too much for how far out I am.

Congratz.  You have done really well.  I still am strugglin with my weight loss cuz my thryoid became underactive 2 months ago.  I am stuck at 198 for now.  Also my arthritis in my knees has flared greatly since I can no longer take Motrin.  I did not realize HOW much Motrin covered up my pain issues.  I only hope that as the weight goes down, this will get better. 

So you celebrate for both of us, and I only hope to catch up to you soon.  Be happy..
