Maybe low blood sugar? Try fruit juice and see if that helps.

Wow, you're quick to post !  I'm sure your blood pressure will stabalize soon.  You must have a lapband if they are letting you come home today.  Best of luck, keep us all posted !

I got my pre op directions from my surgeon last week - just looked at them.  I have to check into the hospital at 5:30 AM.  Yuck.... I'll be fine, but my husband is not a morning person.  Glad I'll be leaving him in the waiting room !

Just wanted to let you know that I am out of surgery and hopefully once my blood pressure come up high enough I can go home.
Nothing hurts too bad, yet.
Hope all the other April 12th folks are doing fine.

My sleep is disturbed by all thoughts going through my head about past events, no idea why. I have missed having my chocolate drink before bed and think this has something to do with it.
Good luck for tomorrow

So glad you made it through the surgery and got some good care from your sister... Sounds like the nurses sucked... I'm glad you gave some feedback to your doc.  I'm sorry you had to go through that.

I'm still pre op myself, but I have read alot of posts saying you can gain up to 10 pounds when you have the surgery due to the liquids pumped into you to keep you hydrated.  I think it is normal and it comes off pretty quickly.

I've also read posts warning to stay off the scale until your one week check up with your doctor.  Not sure I'll be able to do that, but it helps knowing that weight gain is normal in the first week or so.

Take Care !

Rachel !!!  I am so excited for you.  Hope you get some sleep tonight.

I have been having very vivid dreams, not necessarily nightmares, but overall just not sleeping very well.  I actually tried to drink some protein just before bed last night, thinking if I had something in my stomach, I would sleep better.  I think it worked, too.  I actually got 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

Good luck at the doctors - hopefully will answer all your questions and you can relax a bit this evening.

Will be thinking of you and sending positive energy your way !!

I am pre op and have been on liquids for 7 days, but I felt the same way yesterday, bad enough that I had to stop walking and catch my breath.  Looking back at my day, I realized I hadn't had any protein in over 7 hours.

Grabbed a protein drink at GNC, sat down and in 10 minutes, I was good as new.

Glad you called your doctor - keep us posted.
