I had a great experience at Christian Care Hospital and Dr. Peters from CHRIAS.
Surgery was at 1:00 today. I haven't had to take any pain medication so far, but I have needed Gas-X Strips. Other than the incision for the port, none of the cuts hurt.
I hope everyone else has this good of an experience. And, I also hope things continue to go this well. :)

I just had my surgery today, and am feeling pretty good.
i would highly recommend the following products, they taste really good and you can do all kinds of recipes with them:
Unjury - Chocolate and Vanilla Shakes, Chicken Soup, when mixing the soup be sure to keep the temperature under 120 degrees. These all have 21-28 grams of protein in them.
Healthwise - Fruit drinks, hot chocolate (yum), pudding. These all have at least 15 grams of protein, some have 22 when you add milk.
Skip the Atkins shakes, they are gross. They leave a film on the inside of your mouth. Ensure is pretty good, but expensive
It does not look like you are getting enough protein to me, if you don't you will lose you hair, and I'm sure you don't want that to happen.

Hospital says I still have to pay a 250$ deposit, but other than that everything is good to go!

Have to be at hospital at 5:30AM. WHY do they schedule things that early?? =P
But, I'm first of the day. Hopefully spending the night at mother-in-laws. Hubby and I will leave her place at about 5 or so, waking up around 4i****hink so I can get in the shower to wash with the Hibiclens (also have to do that tonight)
Kids will stay with gramma. They'll be asleep until like 10AM, so when they wake up, I'm HOPING to be in recovery or my room!! Gramma can bring them to visit. She has carseats for them in her car.
I just folded laundry, got MY stuff together and will have to overfeed/water cats, fish, bird...clean litterbox, get kids clothes and all together for a day+.

Good for you ! I'm on day 7 of my liquid diet, surgery is the 20th. It's a great feeling, isn't it?
We are going to change our lives for the better ! Just think how good we'll feel in 6 months?
